A British icon fit for a Queen

Triumph Motorcycles has donated a limited edition Diamond Jubilee Bonneville to The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust as a mark of gratitude for Her Majesty The Queen’s work as Head of the Commonwealth over the past 60 years. The Bonneville, was presented to the Chairman of the Trust, former Prime Minister The Rt Hon Sir John Major, KG, CH, at the House of Lords by Triumph Motorcycles Chairman Lord Digby Jones.

The bike will be auctioned and the proceeds used by the Trust to fund projects across the Commonwealth, with the aim of providing an enduring impact across all generations and geographical boundaries.

Lord Digby Jones, Chairman of Triumph Motorcycles, said: “The Diamond Jubilee Trust is doing tremendous work across the Commonwealth and as a British manufacturer, we felt that we should be supporting its work.  As Britain’s largest motorcycle producer, we felt the most fitting way to support the Trust would be to donate a limited edition model designed specifically to celebrate the Queen’s 60 years’ reign.

“I am sure that when the bike is auctioned it will help to raise money to enable the Trust to make a difference”.
