On a recent visit to Prague as UK Ambassador, Lord Digby Jones lobbied against economic protectionism. According to Digby, the only way that a businessman can improve his competitiveness is entering the ring of economic competition. Everybody will profit, not only the rich. According to Digby it is important to sell knowledge-based products. “We cannot compete on the basis of price. SMEs should enter more partnerships that will open new markets for them.”
